Point of sale
A restaurant POS built around the table.
Servers take the order by seat and course, the kitchen sees it at its station, and every line on the check says where the food is. Comps, voids and checkout follow the same check, so nothing has to be pieced together at the end of the night.
Orders by seat and course, most in one tap
Most dishes go on the check with a single tap. Only the ones that genuinely need a choice, such as a temperature or a side, ask for one. Courses fire when the table is ready, and the floor plan shows every table’s status at a glance.
- Floor plan with table status for the whole room
- Seats, courses and modifiers on every line
- Transfer a table to another server without re-entering anything
Every line says where the food is
Each item on the check reads sent, preparing, ready or delivered, straight from the kitchen’s own screens. A server answers a guest’s question by looking at the check, not by walking to the pass.
- Status comes from the kitchen display, not a guess
- Ready food is announced to the server who owns the table
- The table updates on its own once food is delivered
Comps and voids, approved from any device
A server picks the item and a reason. The request reaches every manager on shift with the table, the server and the reason attached, and the manager approves or denies it from a phone, a tablet or the office.
- Preset reasons, so comps and voids can be reported by reason
- Who asked, who approved and why, kept with the check
- No server waiting at a terminal for a manager
Tabs, payments and server checkout
Bar tabs can hold a card while the tab is open. Card payments run through Stripe Terminal readers, tips are recorded with the payment, and each server’s checkout and the day’s close share the same records.
- Card holds for open bar tabs
- Tips recorded with each payment
- Server checkout feeds the daily close
What devices does the POS run on?
It runs in the browser on restaurant terminals, tablets and phones. A terminal is paired once by a manager, and staff sign in with their own four-digit code.
Can a manager approve a comp from their phone?
Yes. Comp and void requests reach every manager on shift with the item, table, server and reason attached, and any of them can approve or deny from a signed-in device.
Can an employee work as both a server and a bartender?
Yes. Employees can have more than one role, and a scheduled shift identifies the role they are working. Management access is assigned separately.
How are card payments taken?
Card payments use Stripe Terminal readers. In a walkthrough, payments are simulated, so you can see checkout without charging a card.
